The application of Nano-typeST and Pico-typeST star trackers on “CentiSpace Satellites”

TY-Space September 15, 2023

Since September 6th , 2022, “CentiSpace – 1 S3 and S4 test satellites” have been successfully in orbit. TYspace NST4S-A2 and PST3S-H1 star sensortrackers are used in combinedation with work for satellites to provide stable and accurate attitude determination and positioning. Serve. Following the successful launch of the “CentiSpace – 1 S2” satellite on July 1st , 2020, TY-SPACE star tracker escorted the “CentiSpace – 1” series of satellites again.

Developed by the Innovation Academy for Microsatellites of Chinese Academy of Science, “CentiSpace – 1 S3” was developed by the Innovation Academy for Microsatellites of Chinese Academy of Science, usinguses TY-SPACE NST4S-A2 and PST3S-H1 star trackers to carry out on-orbit navigation signal information enhancement and inter-satellite relay low-rate special communication Two full-state functional tests to test the closed-loop operation capability of the entire system, and realize optimized designs such as long-term autonomous operation on orbit, autonomous management of complex tasks, and satellite monitoring based on fault triggers.

Developed by HIT Satellite Technology Co., Ltd., “CentiSpace – 1 S4” is developed by HIT Satellite Technology Co., Ltd. It uses TY-SPACE star trackers to carry out satellite-ground integrated network control management, space-borne micro-thrust high-precision electric propulsion, high-precision navigation enhanced signal broadcasting and other series in the Orbit technology tests and system demonstrations, and  will lay the foundation for the construction of low-orbit satellite navigation augmentation system networking.
S3 and S4 test satellites also belong to the “CentiSpace” low-orbit satellite navigation enhancement system, constructed and operated by Shandong Future Navigation Technology Co., Ltd. This is a space-ground integrated constellation system composed of more than 100 low-orbit satellites, which can provide global High-precision, low-cost, and reliable commercial positioning services, realizing real-time dynamic navigation and positioning at the decimeter (centimeter) level without the support of global ground stations.
At present, the S5 and S6 satellites have entered the Ex-work testing process before leaving the factory and areall in good condition. The S5 and S6 satellites will operate in a network with the S3 and S4 satellites launched this time, andthen the 4 satellites will jointly complete all on-orbit tests and demonstration tasksmissions.
